Answers to the most common questions from new and potential authors.
WHAT IS THE PAPER HOUSE?
The Paper House is a full-service publishing house that partners with self-publishing authors to produce and distribute high-quality books in digital and print formats. You only have to send us your manuscript and we take care of the rest.
Our authors and publishers earn 100% of their royalties and retain 100% of their rights. Our distribution networks reach readers all over the world.
We accept all genres from fiction and nonfiction to children's books and everything in between. Our services include both packages and a la carte, so for example, you can have us design your cover or edit your manuscript without publishing your book.
HOW LONG DOES YOUR PROCESS TAKE?
This is dependent on which service(s) you sign up for. Contact us with a customized service and we can give you a more precise answer.
WILL I MAINTAIN THE RIGHTS TO MY BOOK?
Yes. You will retain all of the rights to your manuscript and book, including all digital and print rights.
DO YOU ACCEPT BOOKS WITH IMAGES OR GRAPHICS?
Yes, and at no extra charge.
WHO DETERMINES THE BOOK'S PRICE AND ALL THE OTHER METADATA?
You do. Authors set their book's price, description, keywords, genre, and other metadata information before publishing. (You have the ability to make changes to your metadata after publishing, too.)
WHERE WILL YOU SELL MY BOOK?
The Paper House works with all of the major eBook and print distributors (including Amazon and Barnes & Noble) as well as library wholesalers. Ultimately, you decide where you want your book to be published.
CAN I REVIEW MY BOOK BEFORE IT GETS PUBLISHED?
Yes. We will keep in contact with you and keep you in the loop with all of the updates. Once your eBook and/or print interior has been created, you can review it and note any required changes. A proof copy of your book is ordered prior to finalizing book for publishing on online platforms.
